Homecoming

A Home That Reflects the Heart of AMBUCS

For more than 100 years, AMBUCS has changed lives through mobility, service, and community. The Homecoming Campaign will create an accessible headquarters where that mission can grow for generations to come.

The AMBUCS Homecoming Campaign is about more than a building. It’s about creating a space that fully supports our mission to serve individuals with mobility challenges, empower volunteers, and strengthen communities nationwide.

A new headquarters will allow AMBUCS to:

  • Better support chapters and volunteers across the country

  • Provide accessible spaces for training, collaboration, and meetings

  • Create a welcoming environment for donors, chapters, partners, and community members

  • Improve operational efficiency so more resources go directly to mission impact

This home will reflect who we are and where we are going.

When will construction begin?

Building modifications will occur in phases, the first of which will occur mid-2026

How will funds be used?

Funds raised through the Homecoming Campaign will be used to create a permanent, accessible AMBUCS headquarters that reflects our mission and supports the people we serve.

We are creating a home where:

  • Everyone has access – The new headquarters will include features such as automatic front doors, adaptive Amtryke fitting areas, and sensory-friendly spaces designed to welcome children and families of all abilities.

  • Staff and therapists are supported – Professional, fully equipped workspaces will allow staff and therapists to collaborate effectively, work efficiently, and provide the highest level of support to members, chapters, and riders.

  • Community can gather and grow -The space will offer areas where chapters, donors, volunteers, and partners can meet, learn, train, and celebrate together in an environment built for collaboration and accessibility.

In addition to supporting the construction and accessibility of the building, campaign gifts also create opportunities for lasting legacy recognition, including named rooms, plaques, and other acknowledgments within the new headquarters.

Every contribution helps build a home that strengthens our mission today and for generations to come.

  • Can I make a pledge?

    • Yes. Absolutely. Supporters may choose to make a pledge by committing to a total gift amount that is fulfilled over time. Pledges make it possible to participate in the campaign at a meaningful level while giving in a way that fits your financial planning.
